Municipality cracks down on violating camps, 167 dismantled

Spring camps committee steps up enforcement to ensure compliance with laws, maintain cleanliness

The Spring Camps Committee of Kuwait Municipality has dismantled 167 camps from the southern region for violating camping regulations and issued seven citations to some others for breaches of cleanliness and what the Municipality called ‘improper use’ of space.

The operation was carried out in coordination with the Ministry of Interior, the Kuwait Fire Force, and the Environment Public Authority, under the direct guidance of Minister of State for Municipal Affairs and Minister of State for Housing Affairs, Engineer Abdul Latif Al-Mashari, and Director-General of the Municipality, Engineer Manal Al-Asfour, reports Al-Rai daily.

The Public Relations Department of Kuwait Municipality confirmed that the Spring Camps Committee will continue monitoring all camping sites to ensure compliance, prevent illegal encampments, and enforce the municipality’s regulations.
