The Supreme Committee for Kuwaiti Citizenship Investigation has decided to revoke and withdraw citizenship in cases involving dual nationality, forgery, and distinguished deeds, following a meeting held today (Thursday) under the chairmanship of the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahd Al-Yousef.

In a statement to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), the committee confirmed that it approved several cases of withdrawal of Kuwaiti citizenship, which will be submitted to the Council of Ministers for final endorsement.

According to the statement, the decisions cover three categories:

  • Revoking citizenship for individuals found to hold dual nationality in violation of the law.
  • Withdrawal of citizenship obtained through fraud, false declarations, or forged documents.
  • Withdrawal of citizenship originally granted for distinguished deeds, in cases where conditions or justifications were no longer met.

The committee emphasized that these measures reflect the state’s commitment to upholding the integrity of the nationality system and ensuring that citizenship is granted and maintained in accordance with the law.
