Joint inspection campaigns in Shuwaikh Industrial Area result in issuance of eight citations

The Department of Commercial Control and Consumer Protection at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, in coordination with the Ministry of Interior (Technical Inspection), carried out intensive inspection campaigns in the Shuwaikh Industrial Area of the Capital Governorate.
The initiative is part of ongoing efforts to ensure compliance with laws and regulations governing commercial and technical activities.
Faisal Al-Ansari, Director of the Department of Commercial Control and Consumer Protection, stated that the inspections resulted in eight violation reports for various infractions.
These included violating vehicle window tinting regulations, changing vehicle colors without obtaining written approval from the Ministry of Interior, and conducting repairs on vehicles damaged in traffic accidents without prior authorization.
He added that additional violations involved failure to display warranty schedules for new, repaired, and used spare parts in a visible location, failure to dispose of used tires properly, and the seizure of sports car exhaust systems that did not meet technical requirements.
Al-Ansari emphasized that the joint inspection campaigns reflect the ongoing coordination between the Ministry of Commerce and the Ministry of Interior, aimed at protecting consumers and ensuring compliance with regulations governing car repair workshops and automotive agencies.
He stressed that the ministry will take strict legal measures against violators to uphold consumer rights and maintain the safety and integrity of the local market.
