Kuwait and Oman pledge to deepen strategic partnership and strengthen bilateral ties
The visit marks an important step in strengthening Kuwaiti-Omani relations, reaffirming both nations’ mutual desire to build a prosperous future, deepen cooperation, and enhance regional stability, in line with their shared vision of progress and unity.

The State of Kuwait and the Sultanate of Oman reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing their bilateral partnership and advancing cooperation across multiple sectors, emphasizing mutual respect and a shared vision for greater regional integration and prosperity.
The pledge came during the one-day official visit of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah to Oman on Tuesday, where he met with Sultan Haitham bin Tariq at Al Barakah Palace in Muscat.
The meeting underscored the depth of the historical and fraternal ties binding the two Gulf nations and their determination to elevate cooperation to broader and more comprehensive horizons.
During the talks, His Highness the Amir and the Sultan of Oman exchanged cordial and constructive discussions focused on enhancing collaboration in various fields, particularly economic, trade, and investment cooperation.
Both leaders stressed the importance of developing mechanisms that foster mutual coordination, strengthen integration, and contribute to achieving the aspirations of their peoples for progress and sustainable development.
Following the conclusion of his visit, His Highness the Amir sent a cable of thanks to Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, expressing deep appreciation for the warm hospitality and generous reception he and his delegation received during their stay in Oman.
He emphasized that the visit was an extension of the strong and enduring brotherly relations between the two countries and a continuation of their shared approach to strengthening cooperation.
In his message, His Highness stated that the visit reflects Kuwait and Oman’s joint commitment to broadening the scope of their partnership, which is rooted in mutual understanding and respect. He reaffirmed the shared determination to expand cooperation toward greater integration and interconnection, serving the mutual interests of both nations and building a future of prosperity and stability.
His Highness also expressed heartfelt gratitude to Sultan Haitham and the Omani leadership, noting that the visit reaffirmed the deep historical bonds and unity between the two nations. “As I leave the sisterly Sultanate of Oman, it gives me and my delegation great pleasure to express our deep thanks and profound gratitude for the generous hospitality and the spirit of brotherhood that we experienced among our people in this second homeland,” His Highness said.
Sultan Haitham hosted a luncheon in honor of His Highness the Amir and his accompanying delegation at Al Barakah Palace, highlighting the strength of Kuwaiti-Omani relations and their shared commitment to advancing cooperation in the Gulf region.
Accompanying His Highness on the visit were senior Kuwaiti officials, including Minister of Defense Sheikh Abdullah Al-Ali Al-Sabah, Director General of the Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA) Sheikh Dr. Meshaal Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Director of the Amir’s Office Lt. Gen. (Ret.) Jamal Al-Dhiyab, Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) CEO Sheikh Nawaf Saud Al-Nasser, and Kuwait Investment Authority (KIA) Managing Director Saud Salem Al-Abdulaziz.
His Highness the Amir and his delegation were welcomed upon arrival in Muscat by Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, along with senior Omani officials including Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs Shihab bin Tariq, Minister of Culture, Sports, and Youth Theyazin bin Haitham, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court Khalid Al-Busaidi, Minister of Interior Hamoud Al-Busaidi, and Kuwaiti Ambassador to Oman Dr. Mohammed Al-Hajri.
At the conclusion of the visit, His Highness the Amir returned to Kuwait, where he was received by His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Al-Abdullah Al-Sabah, and Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs Sheikh Hamad Jaber Al-Ali.
