Education Ministry launches urgent probe into two incidents

The Ministry statement said it will not tolerate any breach of instructions or violation of approved regulations and reaffirmed zero-tolerance policy toward non-compliance.

The Kuwaiti Ministry of Education announced it has opened an urgent investigation into two incidents involving school activities organized in violation of educational regulations and instructions.

The Ministry confirmed that Minister of Education Eng. Sayed Jalal Al-Tabtabaei has issued a decision to suspend those responsible, including school principals and curriculum teachers, pending the conclusion of the investigation.

In a statement, the Ministry emphasized its commitment to upholding the integrity of educational institutions and adherence to national laws and regulations. It described the incidents as serious transgressions that warrant accountability and disciplinary action.

The Ministry added that the violations contravened Ministerial Resolution No. 135 of 2025, which governs the organization of celebrations and events inside school premises.

The resolution explicitly prohibits any activity or event from being held without the supervision of the educational activities departments and prior official approval.

The statement further stressed that the Ministry “will not tolerate any breach of instructions or violation of approved regulations,” reaffirming its zero-tolerance policy toward non-compliance.

The Ministry called on all school administrations across educational levels to strictly comply with the relevant laws and ministerial decisions. It also urged them to ensure that all school activities align with educational goals and serve the national interest, avoiding any practices outside the approved educational framework.
