Kuwait revokes citizenship of 11 people

The government has issued two decrees revoking the citizenship of 11 people, including 8 women.

The Decree No. 157 of 2025 states the citizenship of seven women was revoked who had acquired the citizenship on the strength of ‘dependency’.

According to Decree No. 158 of 2025 3 men and 1 woman, lost their citizenship along with those who obtained it through dependency.

The decrees form part of the state’s legal measures concerning nationality regulations, reports Al-Rai daily.
