Kuwait mourns the loss of former MP Al-Nafisi

Kuwait mourns the loss of former Member of Parliament Ahmed Yousef Al-Nafisi, who passed away today after a lifetime of dedicated service to the nation in both political and intellectual fields.

Born in Kuwait, Al-Nafisi was elected to the National Assembly in 1971, representing the Sixth District (Qadisiya) under the banner of the Kuwaiti Progressive Democratic Movement.

Throughout his parliamentary tenure, he was recognized for his clear, principled political positions and his steadfast advocacy for reform and national causes.

Beyond politics, Al-Nafisi made a significant mark in journalism as editor-in-chief of Al-Tale’aa newspaper, where he enriched Kuwait’s journalistic and intellectual scene with bold ideas and analytical depth. His work earned him respect as a voice of integrity and intellectual rigor in the media landscape.
