The Czech Republic has emerged as one of Europe’s most attractive destinations, offering visitors a rich and balanced travel experience that combines natural beauty, historical depth, and wellness tourism.
With its moderate summer climate, healing mineral waters, and stunning architecture, the country continues to captivate travelers seeking both adventure and tranquility.
Speaking at a promotional exhibition hosted at the Czech Embassy in Kuwait, Ambassador H.E. Juraj Chmiel revealed that between 8,000 and 10,000 Kuwaiti nationals visit the Czech Republic every year, especially during the summer months.
He noted a strong interest among Kuwaitis in health resorts and natural therapy centers, adding that more visitors are now discovering hiking trails, forests, lakes, dams, and rivers.
“Kuwait is very similar to my homeland,” he said. “I hope we continue to see even more Kuwaiti tourists in the future.”
The ambassador also praised Kuwait’s growing curiosity about Czech culture and cuisine, while sharing his own appreciation for local food. “The food in Kuwait is so delicious that I’m gaining weight,” he joked.
Regarding travel links, Ambassador Chmiel highlighted the seasonal direct flights between Kuwait and Prague operated by Jazeera Airways, running from June until mid-September.
He also revealed the ongoing talks with other airlines exploring the possibility of launching additional routes to Prague to meet rising demand.
The exhibition reflects increasing cultural and tourism cooperation between the two nations, as the Czech Republic positions itself as a leading European hub for wellness, nature, and cultural discovery.
