Kuwait enters ‘AI Influencer Era’, introduces ‘Danah’ a digital influencer

Kuwait has stepped into the global spotlight of virtual influencers with the launch of Danah, a hyperreal, AI-generated content creator turning heads on TikTok and Instagram.

In a recent video promoting the new Villa Shams Beach Club, Danah looked every bit the modern influencer—confident, stylish, and effortlessly engaging. But unlike her human counterparts, Danah is not real. She is the brainchild of @ai.lenskw, a Kuwaiti digital studio led by artist and entrepreneur Abdulaziz Al-Rashed, who sees her as more than just a visual gimmick.

“Danah is about cultural storytelling powered by technology,” Al-Rashed explained. “She’s here to reflect our identity, values, and lifestyle in a new digital format.”
Unlike earlier virtual avatars made solely for marketing or entertainment, Danah serves a dual purpose, as both a brand ambassador and a solution for those who prefer to stay off-camera.

“Not everyone is comfortable being the face of their business,” said Al-Rashed. “Danah gives them a way to be heard without stepping into the spotlight.” Carefully programmed to appear authentic and culturally in tune, Danah’s content is designed to resonate with audiences across the Gulf while staying visually on-trend and globally relatable.

Still, her arrival is stirring debate. Critics argue that the rise of virtual influencers could dilute authenticity in social media, making it harder for audiences to trust what they see. Others question the emotional connection users can form with AI-generated personalities. “It looks cool,” one TikTok comment read. “But it’s tough to connect with something that doesn’t feel real.”

Despite the skepticism, Danah’s sleek visuals, strategic messaging, and relatable persona have made her an instant hit. To her growing followers, she represents the future of digital communication and branding.

And this is only the beginning. Al-Rashed revealed that his team is already developing customized AI influencers for private clients — including companies, lifestyle brands, and institutions seeking digital ambassadors.
