Interior Ministry in major crackdown on housing violations in Khaitan

Under the direct supervision of First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef, the Ministry of Interior conducted a large-scale security inspection campaign in Khaitan area.
He was accompanied by Acting Director General of Kuwait Municipality, Engineer Manal Al-Asfour, Assistant Undersecretary for Criminal Security Affairs Major General Hamed Al-Dawas, and several other government officials, reports Al-Rai daily.
The campaign focused on private residential properties found to be in violation of legal and regulatory standards. It was organized in coordination with the General Department of Criminal Investigation and carried out in cooperation with the General Fire Force, Kuwait Municipality, the Environment Public Authority, and the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy.
The authorities aimed to address and eliminate violations that threaten public safety, harm the environment, and compromise the residential integrity of the area.
infractions included the illegal conversion of homes into unlicensed commercial establishments, the unauthorized subdivision of properties, and the use of unsafe or deteriorated structures.
Numerous violations were documented during the campaign.
Legal procedures were immediately initiated by the relevant authorities to remove the infractions and take action against those responsible.
