Kuwait concludes 2024/2025 academic year; results expected Monday

As the 2024/2025 academic year draws to a close, twelfth-grade students in Kuwait are completing their second-round exams. Science students concluded their biology exam last Thursday, while arts students finish their statistics exams and religious education students wrap up their Quran exams today.

Educational sources confirmed to Al Jarida that correction committees are working around the clock to complete grading and reviews, with results to be announced via the Ministry of Education’s website and the Sahel app. Certificates will be distributed in schools on Monday morning.

Students who miss collecting their original certificates can contact their educational district offices. Additional copies may be issued upon payment of the required fees.

The summer vacation for school employees involved in second-term work begins July 21 and continues until Sunday, Sept 7, when all government school staff are expected to return, in accordance with Resolution No. 1.

Sources clarified that special second-round exams, scheduled for October, are strictly reserved for students with serious medical cases, including:

  • Students who traveled abroad for medical treatment.
  • Students who underwent surgery during the exam period.
  • Students accompanying patients for treatment abroad.

Applications must be submitted with official medical documents or Treatment Abroad Department reports, approved by the Ministry of Health. The Ministry is tightening regulations to prevent abuse of the system and will only consider verified serious cases for participation in these exams.

This signals the formal conclusion of the school year for the majority of students, while a small group prepares for October under exceptional circumstances.
