Airport Customs foil attempt to smuggle narcotics, alcohol into Kuwait

The customs officers at the Kuwait International Airport thwarted an attempt to smuggle a dangerous mix of narcotics and prohibited substances into the country.

According to official sources, the contraband included a variety of alcoholic beverages, marijuana, hallucinogenic pills, and other prohibited narcotics. These substances were concealed in passengers’ luggage in an apparent attempt to evade detection during the routine screening process.
