U.S. Embassy reaffirms strength of strategic partnership with Kuwait

The United States Embassy in Kuwait has reaffirmed the strength and depth of the strategic partnership between the United States and the State of Kuwait, emphasizing the two nations’ enduring commitment to regional security and stability.
In a press statement, the Embassy announced that it hosted a commemorative event on Monday evening in collaboration with the American Business Council in Kuwait to mark the Memorial Day.
The event featured remarks by U.S. Ambassador to Kuwait, Her Excellency Karen Sasahara, and U.S. Air Force Colonel Matthew Johnson, both of whom underscored the solemn significance of the occasion and its role in honoring the sacrifices of American service members.
They also highlighted the shared values and continued cooperation between Kuwait and the United States in promoting peace and stability throughout the region.
A central component of the evening was the screening of a documentary chronicling the liberation of the State of Kuwait from the Iraqi invasion.
The film included moving testimonies from American, coalition, and Kuwaiti participants, reflecting the deep-rooted collaboration and mutual sacrifices that have defined the bilateral relationship over the past three decades.
The event was attended by senior Kuwaiti officials, members of the U.S. diplomatic mission, and representatives from the American Business Council.
Their presence served as a testament to the multifaceted nature of U.S.-Kuwait relations, particularly in the areas of defense, education, trade, and cultural exchange.
