Indian Embassy in Kuwait marks 76th Republic Day with pride

His Excellency Dr. Adarsh Swaika, Indian Ambassador to Kuwait, delivered the Republic Day Eve message from Indian President Smt. Droupadi Murmu, highlighting India’s progress and achievements over the 75 years since the Constitution came into effect.

On the 76th Republic Day of India, His Excellency Dr. Adarsh Swaika, Indian Ambassador to Kuwait, hoisted the Indian tricolor at the Indian Embassy in Kuwait. He extended warm greetings to Indians in Kuwait, the global Indian diaspora, and billions of friends of India worldwide, as reported by Arab Times.

After hoisting the tricolor, the Indian ambassador read the Republic Day eve message from Indian President Smt. Droupadi Murmu.

In her address, the president paid homage to our soldiers who laid down their lives protecting our borders and highlighted India’s progress and achievements over the 75 years since the Constitution came into effect.

The president noted that the Constitution was adopted on November 26, 1949, and came into force on January 26, 1950. She emphasized the contributions of freedom fighters, including lesser-known heroes like Bhagwan Birsa Munda, and celebrated India’s rich democratic heritage. She underscored that justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity, deeply rooted in India’s civilization, form the foundation of the Republic.

The president also commended the diverse and inclusive composition of the Constituent Assembly, highlighting the significant contributions of women leaders. On the economic front, she reflected on India’s journey from poverty to becoming a key global economic player.

Economic reforms, digital infrastructure, and financial inclusion initiatives have significantly contributed to India’s transformation, creating jobs and reducing poverty.

The president highlighted efforts to empower marginalized communities, promote education, and improve essential infrastructure such as housing and water access. She also emphasized financial and educational initiatives for SC/ST communities and youth.

Innovations in space exploration, biotechnology, and digital systems were celebrated, including the Genome India Project, advancements in artificial intelligence, and ISRO’s remarkable achievements in space.

The president acknowledged the government’s focus on preserving and revitalizing India’s linguistic and cultural diversity, noting initiatives like classical language recognition and the establishment of cultural museums.

On youth and education, she praised enhanced investment in education, the promotion of regional languages, and vocational training, recognizing their role in shaping future generations.

The president also highlighted India’s successes in international sports, including the Olympics and Paralympics, which she said reflect the nation’s rising confidence and potential.

The president urged citizens to reflect on the country’s journey, express gratitude to the framers of the Constitution, and work collectively towards greater progress.
