‘Public Housing Institution’ closely monitoring contracts and progress in various areas

The Deputy Director General for Public Relations and Development Affairs and official spokesperson for the Public Institution for Housing Care, Omar Al-Ruwaih, stated that engineering and technical teams are closely monitoring the implementation of infrastructure contracts, public buildings, and houses in a number of projects in the north and south of Kuwait.

Al-Ruwaih added in a press statement that the South Sabah Al-Ahmad project saw significant progress by the end of November, with the completion of the infrastructure contract reaching 38.66%. This is ahead of the assumed contractual completion rate for the same month, which was 24.49%.
Moreover, Al-Ruwaih revealed that work is underway to implement the infrastructure and main roads within the South Saad Al-Abdullah City project, where the work completed by last month exceeded 13%.

Regarding the works within the East Sabah Al-Ahmad project, which includes 1,184 houses, Al-Ruwaih explained that they are nearing completion. The institution has received the first contract, which contains 587 houses, with an actual completion rate of 100%.

Al-Ruwaih continued that for the second contract in the East Sabah Al-Ahmad project, the completion rate reached 91.64% by the end of last month. Work is ongoing to complete its implementation and hand over the works to the engineering teams supervising the project.

Concerning the public buildings under construction, Al-Ruwaih added that the institution is currently working on completing 124 public buildings, with 68 of these located in Al-Mutlaa City.

Al-Ruwaih added that the institution is working on completing the remaining public buildings in the South Abdullah Al-Mubarak project, which includes 31 buildings.

Additionally, there are 7 buildings east of Sabah Al-Ahmad and 15 buildings in Sabah Al-Ahmad City, along with one building each in Jaber Al-Ahmad City, Saad Al-Abdullah, and South Khaitan.

Al-Ruwaih revealed that the corporation signed 6 contracts last month, which include the construction, completion, and maintenance of 1,568 houses and public buildings, as well as asphalt surface layer works, low and medium pressure cable supply and installation, and road lighting works in Sector BP-1 of the affordable housing project.

In addition, Al-Ruwaih pointed out that the Corporation also signed a contract to construct, complete, and maintain 1,777 houses and public buildings, along with asphalt surface layer works, low and medium pressure cable supply and installation, and road lighting works in Sector BP-3 of the affordable housing project.

Al-Ruwaih pointed out that the Corporation has signed 3 additional contracts for Al-Mutlaa City. These include a contract to establish, complete, and maintain infrastructure services networks and public buildings in the N4 suburb center.

Similarly, another contract includes; supply, extend, and to maintain 132 kV ground cables to feed 9 main 11/132 kV stations in the non-residential suburbs of the Al-Mutlaa City project, and a final contract to establish, complete, and maintain civil infrastructure works for temporary treatment plants in the Al-Mutlaa and South Abdullah Al-Mubarak residential cities.

Al-Ruwaih revealed that the institution delivered 32,216 certificates to relevant parties to issue building permits to citizens who own residential plots in Al-Mutlaa City, Southern Khaitan, and South Abdullah Al-Mubarak until the end of last month.

What’s more is regarding the services provided by the institution to citizens in November, Al-Ruwaih stated that the Citizen Service Department delivered 26,808 electronic services to various citizens. Additionally, there were 1,491 services received at the institution’s centers and 13,698 phone calls responded to.

In conclusion, Al-Ruwaih emphasized the institution’s commitment to providing electronic services and facilitating processes for citizens, in line with the directives of the Council of Ministers and the Minister of State for Housing Affairs, Abdul Latif Al-Mishari.
