Kuwait’s Fire Department to provide robust security during “Gulf Zain 26”
The General Fire Force announced the formation of a committee to prepare all equipment and arrangements to secure the opening ceremony of the “Gulf Zain 26” football championship in Kuwait that will be held on, December 21, as well as the matches and events of the championship that will continue until January 3, 2025. The committee’s responsibilities also include ensuring the safety of stadiums, sports facilities, and the residences of the teams and sports delegations.
The Head of the Committee, Brigadier General Abdulaziz Al-Bannai, said in a press statement today, Wednesday, that the formation of the committee came under direct instructions from the head of the force, Major General Talal Al-Roumi, adding that it took all necessary preparations and precautions to secure the tournament in cooperation with all the concerned parties.
Brigadier Al-Bannai added that the safety of fixed systems, combat, alarm, ventilation, and special systems, along with the distribution of security points and mechanisms, and the establishment of safety requirements to ensure everyone’s safety were also ensured.
Furthermore, Brigadier Al-Bannai pointed out that the General Fire Force has trained a number of volunteers on the use of fire extinguishers and that members of the force are participating in the operations room at the stadium to closely manage the event with the concerned authorities.
Additionally, security points have been set up at the events accompanying the tournament, which will be held at the (Marooj) complex, to ensure the safety of visitors.
Brigadier Al-Bannai stressed the support for the efforts made to ensure Kuwait’s successful hosting of this important sporting event and to present an honorable image to the guests from the participating sister countries.
More importantly, Brigadier Al-Bannai explained that the Fire Department is fully prepared to address any incidents around the clock, ensuring the safety of the fans and guests of Kuwait as well.
