26,789 Citizens employed in 6 months under ‘Comprehensive Employment Plan’
The Kuwaiti Civil Service Bureau (KCSB) reported that 26,789 citizens, both male and female, were candidates for work in government agencies between June and November 2024 under the comprehensive employment plan.
This was stated in an explanatory statement issued by KCSB yesterday, outlining the number of candidates for employment during the current fiscal year under the comprehensive employment plan.
The Bureau highlighted that all registered individuals, including those with university qualifications, diplomas, and training or qualification courses, were nominated for the first time. It added that all nominations were made based on the specific needs of government agencies for jobs.
Importantly, the Bureau explained that, in the first period between June and October 2024, a total of 16,525 citizens, both male and female, were nominated after implementing the comprehensive employment plan. In the second period (November 2024), the number of nominees increased to 10,264 citizens, both male and female.
The Bureau stated that 2,276 citizens, both male and female, have rejected the nomination authority once to date. These individuals will be re-nominated to another work authority in the next phase.
Furthermore, the Bureau pointed out that 1,851 male and female citizens with intermediate and secondary qualifications, which were unqualified, have been given qualifying courses before being nominated to government agencies.
The Bureau indicated in its explanatory statement that 1,085 male and female citizens, registered as primary school students, will have a special advertisement published based on the needs of government agencies.
In a related context, the Bureau urged citizens with secondary and intermediate qualifications, registered in the central employment system, to enroll in courses that will qualify them for work in various government sectors.
The Bureau said in a statement, that based on the decision of the Civil Service Council in its meeting No. 13 of 2024, held on November 7, which stipulates that only holders of secondary and intermediate qualifications who have not obtained any training course may apply to join a qualifying course organized by the Civil Service Bureau, in cooperation with the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training.
The statement said, that the Bureau calls on holders of secondary and intermediate qualifications registered in the central employment system until period 88 to visit the website and enroll in qualifying courses in one of the following areas of specialization: Secretarial Work, Printing, and Supporting Hotel Services, allocated to the Ministry of Health.
