FAIPS-DPS delights with ‘A Symphony of Smiles’

FAIPS-DPS’s annual celebration showcased the talent and enthusiasm of Grade 1 students, captivating an audience of 1,500 supporters in the school auditorium.

The grand finale showcased a vibrant contemporary performance with a stunning display of movement. Their infectious smiles and spirited movements brought a sense of joy, leaving everyone excited for next year’s celebration.

The annual celebration at FAIPS-DPS was a vibrant display of talent and enthusiasm as Grade 1 students took the stage and captivated the audience with their performances. Titled “A Symphony of Smiles,” the event took place on October 17 in the school auditorium, drawing a crowd of 1,500 eager supporters for the young performers.

The show commenced with the Kuwait National Anthem, followed by the recital of the Holy Quran and the lighting of the lamp.

Mr. Ravi Ayanoli, the Principal, welcomed the Chief Guest, Dr. Ameera Al Hassan, Head of UN-Habitat, Kuwait & GCC mission, and the Guest of Honour, Dr. Amir Ahmed, the former President of the Indian Doctors Forum and a well-known humanitarian. In his welcome note, the principal highlighted the crucial role that both parents and teachers play in nurturing the global citizens of tomorrow. He also emphasized the importance of discipline in schools and the need for parental cooperation to ensure every child reaches their full potential.

The inaugural performance transformed the stage into a colorful spectacle as the children displayed their dancing skills with flawless coordination. The program thereafter featured a series of delightful renditions in English and Hindi.

The students went beyond music and mesmerized the audience with traditional and contemporary dance performances. The carefully choreographed French, Arabic, Gujarati, Punjabi, and Tamil folk dances left the audience cheering for more. Clad in bright costumes, the young dancers gracefully presented the rhythms of India through a fusion of North and South Indian dance styles.

The grand finale showcased a vibrant contemporary performance with a stunning display of movement. Their infectious smiles and spirited movements brought a sense of joy, leaving everyone excited for next year’s celebration.

In her closing remarks, Mrs. Ameera Al Hassan commended the students for their outstanding performances. Addressing the audience, she echoed the principal’s sentiments and encouraged parents to instill discipline in their children.

Dr. Amir Ahmed, the Guest of Honour, was visibly mesmerized. In his address, he applauded the school for excelling not only in academics but also in fostering the overall development of its students. He remarked, “Seeing the display of skills and hard work that went into this show, I now know why DPS alumni head institutions and companies across the world.” The program ended with a vote of thanks by the Headmistress, Ms. SeemaBhatnagar, who called the teachers and support staff on stage for their tremendous efforts and thanked the guests and parents for their support.
