Temporary work visas to be issued for govt contracts

The Ministry of Interior announced on Sunday the reactivation of work entry visas for temporary government contracts that are less than one calendar year, adding that this will be done in accordance with the procedures in force.

The ministry said in a statement by the General Department of Security Relations and Media that the decision comes in light of the directives of First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah, and in view of the labor market’s need to add more flexibility to it and to facilitate the completion of temporary work that does not take more than a year.

The ministry indicated that the Public Authority for Manpower will start receiving applications starting tomorrow, Monday. – KUNA
