Kuwait committed to upholding top aviation safety standards globally

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation reaffirmed Kuwait’s commitment to strengthening international cooperation and upholding the highest safety standards in the aviation sector, according to Al Rai newspaper.
During the opening of the sixth meeting of the Safety Enhancement Implementation Group, as well as the two-day meetings of the National Ongoing Monitoring Coordinators held in Kuwait, Abdullah Al-Rajhi, Deputy Director General for Aviation Safety, Air Transport, and Civil Aviation Security, said in a speech that this meeting represents a ‘precious opportunity’ to exchange knowledge and experiences between member states and is an essential part of ‘our collective strategy to strengthen regional and international safety frameworks.’
He added that through joint efforts, “we will be able to address current and future challenges in the aviation sector, in addition to ensuring the sustainability of improvements in performance and safety,” pointing out that the Safety Enhancement Implementation Group (SEIG) is the cornerstone in the development of regional safety initiatives and plays a pivotal role in implementing the recommendations and outcomes of previous meetings.
He stated that the meetings will discuss the latest developments in the implementation of national safety plans and programs of member states, as well as the challenges and opportunities these programs offer to enhance aviation safety.
He also thanked the Regional Office of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and all participants from brotherly countries for their tireless efforts and dedication to promoting aviation safety.
