New decree ensures smooth ministerial transitions during absences
A new decree has been issued concerning ministerial solutions and delegations, stating that the following deputy prime ministers and ministers will assume the duties of absent officials, according to Al Qabas newspaper.
According to reports, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs will assume the roles of Minister of Defense and Minister of Interior during his absence, and he will also act as Minister of Foreign Affairs when that position is unoccupied.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs will take on the duties of Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs during his absence. The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Oil will act as Minister of Finance and Minister of State for Economic Affairs and Investment while those ministers are away, and in turn, the Minister of Finance and Minister of State for Economic Affairs and Investment will perform the duties of the Minister of Oil in his absence.
The Minister of Information and Culture, along with the Minister of State for Youth Affairs, will assume the responsibilities of the Minister of Health during his absence, while the Minister of Health will also act as the Minister of Information and Culture and the Minister of State for Youth Affairs when needed.
The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, together with the Acting Minister of Education, will take on the duties of the Minister of Justice and the Minister of Endowments and Islamic Affairs during their absence, while the Minister of Justice and the Minister of Endowments and Islamic Affairs will perform the roles of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Minister of Education while they are away.
The Minister of Public Works will assume the responsibilities of the Minister of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy during his absence, and conversely, the Minister of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy will perform the duties of the Minister of Public Works while he is away.
The Minister of Commerce and Industry will act as Minister of State for Communications Affairs during his absence, and the Minister of State for Communications Affairs will step in for the Minister of Commerce and Industry when necessary. Finally, the Minister of Social Affairs, Family, and Childhood Affairs will take on the roles of the Minister of State for Municipal Affairs and the Minister of State for Housing Affairs during their absence, while the Minister of State for Municipal Affairs and the Minister of State for Housing Affairs will perform the duties of the Minister of Social Affairs, Family, and Childhood Affairs while he is away.
