20-year-old citizen murders grandmother in Al-Rumaithiya

The Criminal Security Sector, represented by the General Department of Criminal Investigations, with the support of the Public Security Sector, was able to arrest a person accused of committing a gruesome murder of his grandmother.

The crime took place in a house in Hawalli Governorate, Rumaithiya area. According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Interior, specialized teams from the Criminal Investigation Department were formed, which intensified the search and investigation operations regarding the accused and succeeded in identifying the location of the accused and arresting him in record time, as reported by Al Jarida.

Upon investigating the accused, it was found that he had a history of drug cases, and he was referred to the competent authorities to take legal action against him. A security source told Al Jarida that the accused fled to an unknown destination after committing the crime. The source explained that security personnel, detectives and forensic experts visited to inspect the crime scene.
