Minister of Public Works, Dr. Nora Al-Mashaan, has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to developing the civil aviation sector as a key driver of economic growth.

She made these remarks during a regular meeting with government agencies involved in the new Kuwait International Airport (T2) passenger terminal project, reports Al-Rai newspaper.

The new T2 terminal is seen as a pivotal project in Kuwait’s infrastructure development plan, aligning with the nation’s Vision 2035. This ambitious vision aims to transform Kuwait into a leading regional and global financial and commercial center.

Minister Al-Mashaan emphasized the importance of completing the project on schedule and within budget to achieve these goals.

The minister highlighted the government’s dedication to providing all necessary resources and support to ensure the project’s timely completion.

She noted that the development of the country’s air transport infrastructure is a top priority and that the project will adhere to the highest international standards in civil aviation.

Dr. Al-Mashaan also emphasized the importance of coordination among all stakeholders to address any challenges and ensure the smooth execution of the project. She stressed the need to focus on improving the passenger experience and expanding the airport’s capacity to accommodate future growth in air traffic.

During the meeting, discussions centered around various aspects of the project, including the latest updates from the Civil Aviation Authority regarding telecommunications companies and the coordination required for the third phase of the project.

Additionally, the meeting addressed the issue of road access to the new airport and the importance of identifying and mitigating any potential obstacles that passengers may encounter.
