Uzbekistan condemns attacks on Saudi Arabia, calls for diplomatic solution

Uzbekistan has expressed deep concern over the worsening situation in the Middle East, including recent missile and drone attacks targeting the territory of Saudi Arabia. In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan strongly condemned the use of force against civilians and civilian and energy infrastructure, as well as any actions that threaten the security of countries in the region or endanger international navigation.
Uzbekistan stressed the importance of strict adherence to international law, particularly respect for the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of states. The ministry said that emerging disputes must be addressed exclusively through political and diplomatic channels, emphasizing dialogue and mutual respect as the basis for resolving tensions.
Uzbekistan also voiced its support for efforts by the United Nations and countries across the region to de-escalate tensions, prevent further expansion of the conflict and work toward establishing lasting peace in the Middle East.
The statement comes amid heightened regional tensions and growing international calls for restraint, protection of civilian populations and critical infrastructure, and the resolution of disputes through diplomatic means.
