Two arrested with 80 kilograms of narcotics worth one million dinars

The two Asian nationals admitted that they had received instructions from a major drug dealer abroad to distribute the narcotic substance within Kuwait.

  • The Ministry of Interior confirms that security and intensive efforts are ongoing to monitor and address any attempts to bring in and trade narcotics, ensuring the protection and preservation of society.

The General Department for Combating Narcotics, part of the Criminal Security Sector, successfully arrested two Asian nationals who were found in possession of approximately 80 kilograms of the narcotic substance Shabu, valued at over one million Kuwaiti dinars, according to Al Anba newspaper.

When confronted, the accused admitted that the seized items belonged to them and that they had received instructions from a major drug dealer abroad to distribute the drugs within the country. Both the individuals and the seized items are being referred to the Public Prosecution, which will take all necessary legal measures.

The Ministry of Interior confirms that security and intensive efforts are ongoing to monitor and address any attempts to bring in and trade narcotics, ensuring the protection and preservation of society.

The ministry urges everyone to cooperate with security forces and report any suspicious activity to the emergency number (112) or the General Department for Combating Narcotics hotline (1884141).
