Ministry of Higher Education launches new visitor service on ‘When’ platform

The initiative, which is accessible via the ‘Sahel’ app, aims to provide a genuine opportunity for engaging directly with the issues and concerns of citizens.

  • Lamia Al-Melhem, the Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Higher Education, will meet with visitors on Sundays and Tuesdays from 2 pm to 3 pm.

  • Visitor suggestions will be considered, and actions will be taken according to resources and ministry regulations under the minister’s supervision.

The Ministry of Higher Education has introduced a new service for receiving visitors, addressing their concerns and issues through scheduled appointments on the ‘When’ platform, accessible via the ‘Sahel’ government application, according to Al Rai newspaper.

Lamia Al-Melhem, the Acting Undersecretary of the ministry, stated in a press statement that this initiative was launched under the directives and follow-up of Dr. Adel Al-Adwani, the Minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research. It aims to provide a genuine opportunity for engaging directly with the issues and concerns of citizens.

Al-Melhem explained that she will meet with visitors at the ministry on Sundays and Tuesdays from 2 pm to 3 pm. Additionally, Ghaida Madhkour, the Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Scholarships, Equivalencies, and Cultural Relations, will receive visitors on Mondays and Wednesdays from 2 pm to 3 pm at the Ministry of Higher Education headquarters in Al-Sanabel Tower, Kuwait City.

She noted that suggestions from visitors will be considered, and necessary actions and appropriate solutions will be implemented according to available resources, while adhering to the ministry’s laws, regulations, and organizational decisions under the direct supervision and guidance of the minister.

Al-Melhem added that periodic reports on issues related to the reviewers will be submitted to the minister. Statistical tables will be prepared after listing, sorting, and classifying the issues, and these will be sent to all relevant sectors within the ministry to ensure timely handling. Additionally, applicants will be informed immediately of the procedures taken regarding their application and the outcome.

She stated that interviews will be held periodically according to the available dates on the ‘When’ platform.
