MOI establishes phone line to report dilapidated flags

The Ministry of Interior (MOI) has allocated the emergency phone number “112” to report dilapidated flags in the country, with an additional option for residents to photograph and send pictures of non-conforming flags through WhatsApp, to the General Directorate of Media Relations and Security at “91110999”, “whether spotted on government or private buildings or anywhere on the roads”, in order to take the necessary corrective measures.

The MOI said in a statement, on Tuesday, that “this initiative is based on the decision of the Council of Ministers to follow up on each institution and government ministry to maintain the decorum of the flag of the State of Kuwait, “to ensure correct protocol and quality”, stressing the need to remove flags that did not conform to the protocol.

The MOI pointed out that protecting and preserving the Kuwait national flag as an identity and symbol of the State is a national responsibility to be upheld by society, individuals, and institutions.
