Detention orders issued for police personnel over discrimination

The detention of multiple officers and individuals at a Jahra police station is part of efforts to enforce equal application of the law, following a complaint regarding their discriminatory treatment of citizens.

Informed sources revealed to Al-Rai newspaper that Sheikh Fahd Al-Yousef, the First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior, and Minister of Defense, has ordered the detention of several officers and individuals at a Jahra police station. This action, taken within the framework of applying the law equally to everyone, follows a complaint about their discriminatory treatment of citizens.

The sources said that information was received by the ministry’s Oversight and Inspection Department about detainees in the police station involved in a quarrel, where one party was kept outside the prison.

The sources indicated that orders were issued to suspend and detain the responsible officers and individuals and to investigate them regarding this incident.
