Citizen detained for banned group advocacy, insults to Saudi Arabia and Shiites

The Public Prosecution has ordered the detention of a citizen for advocating joining a prohibited group, engaging in hostile acts against a foreign nation, and showing contempt towards a segment of Kuwaiti society.

These charges stem from his social media posts promoting the ideologies of said group, which also included insults directed at the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Shiite sect.

The accused was interrogated and presented with the charges, with investigative procedures currently underway.
