Maha Al-Asousi, Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy, affirmed that the ministry aims to address peak loads in the upcoming summer season by promoting consumption efficiency during peak hours. She emphasized that with everyone’s cooperation, this crisis can be managed, just as it was last summer.

Al-Asousi explained during a statement at a ministry celebration for Earth Day that “all power station maintenance is scheduled to conclude by the end of next May. She further emphasized that the use and expansion of smart meters are key methods for rationalizing consumption and reducing loads.
