Ministry fast-tracks approvals for Sabah Al-Ahmad City electricity project

Final approvals show the dedication of the Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy to expedite electricity delivery in close coordination with the General Corporation for Housing Welfare.

  • The Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy is finalizing annual evaluations for 30,000+ employees in technical and administrative roles.

  • The employee evaluation process will conclude this April, with bonuses disbursed in May after approval by the Undersecretary and Minister

According to sources at the Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy, the Administrative Affairs Sector is currently finalizing the annual evaluations of over 30,000 employees in both technical and administrative roles. They explained that the sector is nearing completion of the evaluation process in line with the regulations and laws of the Civil Service Commission governing bonus disbursements.

One of the crucial aspects is tracking the number of absences throughout the year, a metric set by the bureau. Sources suggest that the employee evaluation process will conclude this April, with bonuses disbursed in May after approval by the Undersecretary and Minister. The ministry will establish a grievances committee post-bonus disbursement to address complaints from employees excluded from bonuses, ensuring fairness through thorough investigation and reward allocation to deserving individuals.

Additionally, the ministry is actively seeking regulatory approvals for delivering electricity to Sabah Al-Ahmad City’s eastern region. These approvals are in their final stages, reflecting the ministry’s dedication to expedite electricity delivery through close coordination with the General Corporation for Housing Welfare, responsible for the city’s establishment.

In another initiative, the ministry prioritizes modernization, operation, comprehensive maintenance, and replacement of air conditioning units and accessories in electrical substations, especially with the approaching summer and rising temperatures. A tender has been launched for air conditioning maintenance in key electrical substations across the “Jahra, Capital, and Farwaniya” governorates, with the bid submission deadline postponed to May 14th.
