Ministry allocates 12 repair contracts for roads, six for highways in Kuwait

On Sunday, Dr. Noura Al-Mashaan, Minister of Public Works and Minister of State for Municipal Affairs, signed two project contracts for infrastructure works in the Qortuba and Yarmouk regions.

During a press conference held on the sidelines of signing contracts to improve the infrastructure of the two regions, including the replacement of sewage and rainwater networks, as well as comprehensive road repairs, Al-Mashaan explained that this signing marks the beginning of road repairs in the remaining regions of Kuwait.

As part of his statement, Ahmed Al-Saleh, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Public Works, announced that the ministry has prepared the tender documents for the basic maintenance of roads and highways across Kuwaiti governorates.

On the sidelines of the press conference, he mentioned that the ministry will engage with the Central Tenders Agency to obtain approvals for the radical maintenance tenders, in preparation for their offering.

Al-Saleh explained that the ministry will allocate 12 major repair contracts for roads in Kuwait’s governorates and six maintenance contracts for highways.
