44.4 million dinars allocated for uninterrupted power supply in Kuwait
The Ministry of Electricity and Water has stated that it will not resort to scheduled power outages next summer, except in cases of malfunctions. The Ministry is currently carrying out necessary maintenance during the winter to ensure all power generation units are ready for the summer.
Additionally, the Central Agency for Public Tenders has approved awarding the tender for annual maintenance of equipment and precision devices in power generation and water distillation stations to companies that meet the required terms and specifications.
The Central Agency for Public Tenders, in the official newspaper “Kuwait Today” reported that the tenders included six items, with each power station having its own specific item. The total amount for the tenders is 44.402 million dinars.
The first item, for the Shuwaikh station, was awarded to the local station agent who submitted the sixth lowest price that met the technical conditions and specifications. This contract amounts to 3.904 million dinars, after excluding companies with the lowest prices for failing to meet the technical requirements.
The agency further noted that the second item, related to the South Shuaiba station, was awarded to the tenth lowest bidder who met the technical conditions and specifications, with a contract amount of 6.775 million dinars after preparing the valuation budget.
Additionally, the third item, for the East Doha station, was awarded to the ninth lowest bidder who also met the technical conditions and specifications, with a total contract value of 7.365 million dinars.
The fourth item related to the Doha West Station, was awarded to the eighth lowest bidder who met the conditions and specifications, with a total amount of 9.925 million dinars.
The fifth item, for the Al-Zour South Station, was allocated to the seventh lowest bidder, with a contract value of 8.992 million dinars, after preparing the valuation budget.
The sixth item of the tender, related to the Subiya station, was awarded to the seventh lowest bidder who met the conditions and specifications, for an amount of 7.340 million dinars, after excluding the lowest-priced companies that did not meet the required conditions and specifications.
