19 Suspects of various nationalities arrested for possession of drugs, alcohol and firearms

The Ministry of Interior announced today, Thursday, December 19, the seizure of 15 kilograms of narcotics; 10,000 psychotropic pills; 30 bottles of alcoholic beverages; 4 unlicensed firearms and ammunition in the possession of 19 suspects of various nationalities, during several campaigns conducted across different areas of the country.

The General Department of Security Relations and Media at the Ministry, stated in a press release that, these seizures are part of the intensive and ongoing security campaigns carried out by the General Department of Drug Control, which is part of the Criminal Security Sector, to target and apprehend drug smugglers and dealers.

The statement added that the accused, along with the seized items, have been referred to the Drugs and Alcohol Prosecution to take the necessary legal actions against them.

Furthermore, the statement also emphasized the ongoing security campaigns to pursue and apprehend anyone involved in the trafficking or promotion of narcotic substances, aiming to protect society from this threat and safeguard the safety and security of the nation and its citizens.
