14 more individuals stripped of citizenship as government tightens laws

A new decree has been issued revoking the citizenship of two individuals who had obtained it through dependent status. Additionally, three separate decisions have b33n announced, affecting a total of 12 more individuals.

The Kuwaiti citizenship of 10 individuals has been in accordance with Article 21 bis (A) due to forgery or having acquired it through dependence. Furthermore, according to a report published by the government gazette ‘Kuwait Alyawm, two women were stripped of their nationality under Article 10, based on specific legal criteria.

These decisions reflect Kuwait’s continued efforts to address irregularities in naturalization and uphold the integrity of its nationality laws.
