‘Young Minds India’ launches Blood Donors Society in Kuwait

. . . initiative promotes voluntary blood donation across Kuwait

Young Minds India officially launched the Blood Donors Society (BDS) – Kuwait on January 22, 2026, at Amwaj Hall, Holiday Inn Hotel, Salmiya.

The newly-formed society aims to promote voluntary blood donation and provide timely assistance during medical emergencies.

The program began at 6:30 pm with the Kuwait National Anthem, followed by a welcome address from the organizers.

The event was hosted by Rakshida, a Class 10 student of Gulf Indian School, whose confident presentation kept the audience engaged throughout the evening.

The society was inaugurated by H.E. Halima Mohamed, Ambassador of the Republic of Kenya to Kuwait, who commended Young Minds India for its humanitarian vision.

She emphasized that organized blood donation initiatives play a vital role in saving lives and strengthening community healthcare support systems.

B. M. Ibrahim, Founder and President of Young Minds India, addressed the gathering, outlining the mission, objectives, and future plans of the society. He highlighted the importance of unity and social responsibility in building a reliable network of voluntary blood donors.

A key segment of the event was a medical awareness session presented by Dr. Mohan Ram, a leukemia specialist. He discussed blood donation eligibility, addressed common misconceptions, and underlined the importance of donors for patients requiring long-term treatment.

The program also featured congratulatory messages from Dr. Ameer Ahmad, former Psresident of the Forum of Indian Doctors; Mahendran, former President of the Institution of Engineers (India); and Krishnaswamy Suresh, President of the International Tamil Engineers Forum – Kuwait Chapter. They praised the initiative and encouraged active community participation in humanitarian efforts.

Among the attendees were the Minister Counsellor from the Embassy of Sri Lanka, the Counsellor from the Embassy of Nepal; Husain Ali Alnakkas, IT and Cyber Security Consultant, and Sameer Humad, President of the Forum of Indian Doctors, along with doctors, sponsors, and community leaders.

Volunteers who contributed to the success of the event were honored with appreciation certificates in recognition of their dedication and service.

The launch of the Blood Donors Society marks another milestone in Young Minds India’s ongoing commitment to social service and community welfare, with plans to build a strong donor network and continue supporting humanitarian causes across Kuwait.
