Ya Hala concludes with 24 cars, $200,000 in prizes

The Kuwait Shopping Festival “Ya Hala” wrapped up its activities yesterday with the ninth and tenth draws, offering an impressive 24 cars and $200,000 in cash.

The draws took place in the presence of Acting Prime Minister Sheikh Fahd Al-Yousef, Minister of Commerce Khalifa Al-Ajeel, and a supervising committee from the Ministry of Commerce, according to Al-Rai daily.

Festival head Fadel Al-Dosari announced the distribution of 12 cars and $100,000 for both the ninth and tenth draws. He confirmed that all coupon boxes were collected and sealed by 8:00 pm, Friday evening, with no further coupons accepted after that time.

Al-Dosari also highlighted the involvement of children in conducting the draw process, which was overseen by the Ministry of Commerce. Winners will be contacted to claim their prizes, including cars or $1,000 in cash for each individual winner.

Abdul Rahman Al-Baddah, head of public relations for the festival, revealed that the ninth and tenth draws were combined into a grand closing draw, with over 350 coupon boxes gathered from malls, associations, and shopping centers. He emphasized the festival’s significant contribution to the country’s economy and tourism, noting that the event allowed every shopper in Kuwait to participate in the opportunity to win from a total of 120 cars and $1 million in prizes.

Additionally, the Ministry of Commerce canceled the first-place win in the ninth draw due to a technical requirement that the triple name be written on the coupon. The draw was re-conducted, with the first car as the prize
