Work permit, transfer mechanism amendments set for June 1 rollout
The amendment adds a 150-dinar fee for new work permits and a 300-dinar transfer fee for workers inactive for three years, subject to employer approval.
According to sources at the Public Authority for Manpower, Al-Anbaa newspaper learned that the authority has been working on amending the approved automated system in preparation for implementing the decision to amend the mechanism for granting work permits and transferring between employers, starting in early June.
The sources indicated that the amendment also includes imposing an additional fee of 150 dinars for issuing a work permit for the first time. Additionally, a transfer fee of 300 dinars will be imposed to transfer a worker from one company to another if they have not entered the country for three years, provided that the employer approves.
The sources confirmed that the authority’s systems are ready to implement the decision starting from the first of June.
On the other hand, sources revealed the readiness of inspection teams in open areas in all governorates starting from the first of June.
