Weekend to be cooler at night, cloudy skies and slight drizzle
Meteorologist, Issa Ramadan, expects the weather over the weekend to be moderate during the day and cool at night, with cloudy to partly cloudy skies and a chance of light rain in some areas. Moderate northwesterly winds will continue.
In a statement to Al-Qabas, Meteorologist Ramadan shared that the winds will persist until Sunday, with a low-pressure system advancing from Sunday evening. This will lead to increased cloud cover, a shift in winds to southeasterly, higher humidity, and reduced visibility. The weather will turn cloudy at night.
Furthermore, the Meteorologist added that the weather on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday will be partly cloudy to cloudy, with a possibility of reduced visibility and fog formation, along with scattered rain.
A cold frontal air mass will arrive, causing daytime temperatures to drop to between 21 and 25°C, with nighttime lows ranging from 8 to 14°C, and even lower in rural areas, between 6 and 8°C.
The temperature will continue to drop during the weekend, with moderate northwesterly winds, which will intensify early Tuesday, and remain active until the weekend.
Ramadan explained that starting from next Friday afternoon, a significant change will occur as an air front passes and a high-pressure system takes effect.
During this period, temperatures will drop, marking the beginning of a major temperature decrease. The weather will become cooler, with a noticeable shift towards colder conditions.
Ramadan expects temperatures to gradually decrease towards the end of November, leading up to the ‘Al-Mubarakiya’ season on December 6. This marks the official start of winter, bringing cooler weather to the country.
