Thursday, June 26, public holiday for Hijri New Year

The Civil Service Commission has announced that all ministries, government agencies, and public institutions will be closed on Thursday, June 26, on the occasion of the Hijri New Year 1447.

In a statement, the CSC stated work will resume on Sunday, June 29.

The statement also clarified that entities with a private nature of work — such as certain service or emergency sectors — will determine their own holiday schedules in coordination with the relevant authorities, while ensuring the public interest is maintained.
