Vehicles of reckless drivers impounded, destroyed in public safety sweep
Firm approach reflects its zero-tolerance toward traffic offenses that pose risks of human or material loss -- Ministry of Interior

The General Traffic Directorate has impounded and crushed several vehicles after their drivers were caught committing serious, high-risk violations marked by recklessness, negligence and endangerment of other road users.

The Ministry of Interior announced on its X account that, as part of ongoing efforts by the Traffic and Operations Affairs Sector to protect lives and enforce road discipline, the Security Control Department took strict action against vehicles involved in dangerous behavior that “reached the level of threatening public safety and disrupting traffic security.”
Authorities confirmed that the vehicles were compacted at the metal recycling plant after taking all required legal procedures, reports Al-Rai daily.

The Ministry stressed that this firm approach reflects its zero-tolerance toward traffic offenses that pose risks of human or material loss.
The Interior Ministry reiterated that the law will be enforced decisively against anyone who endangers others, noting that round-the-clock traffic and monitoring campaigns will continue across all regions to maintain a safe and orderly road environment.

Drivers have been urged to act responsibly and comply with traffic officers’ instructions to ensure their own safety and that of the community.
