Uzbekistan to grant 30-day visa-free entry for Kuwaitis starting June 2025

The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Kuwait has announced that beginning June 1, 2025, Kuwaiti citizens will be eligible for visa-free entry into Uzbekistan for up to 30 days, an increase from the current 10-day allowance.
The Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Kuwait, H.E. Ayubkhon Yunusov, told Al-Rai daily, the move is part of a broader presidential initiative “Measures to increase the number of tourists and expand the scope of tourism services in the period 2025–2026, aimed at strengthening the role and importance of tourism in the national economy.”
Ambassador Yunusov encouraged Kuwaitis to take full advantage of the new policy and discover the rich cultural heritage and natural beauty of Uzbekistan.
He highlighted iconic destinations such as Samarkand, Bukhara, and Khiva, as well as the scenic regions of Tashkent and Jizzakh, which offer modern tourism infrastructure and diverse experiences.
The presidential decree outlines key tourism sector goals to be achieved by the end of 2025:
- Attract 15.8 million international tourists across Uzbekistan.
- Increase tourism service exports to $4 billion USD.
- Promote domestic tourism by facilitating travel for 40 million local tourists.
- Launch 378 new tourism companies.
- Develop regional tourism programs annually by November 30 each year, starting in 2025.
- Declare the third week of November as International Tourism Week, beginning 2025.
- Designate the second Saturday and Sunday of each month as “Family and Group Travel Days” under the “Travel through Uzbekistan!” program starting June 2025.
