Tragedy at sea: Person drowns off Al-Messilah Beach

In a statement the Kuwait Fire Force (KFF) said the Salmiya firefighting and marine rescue units responded to a drowning incident early Thursday morning at Al-Messilah Beach.

The statement said, both land-based and marine rescue teams were immediately dispatched to the scene. Despite their rapid response and rescue efforts, one person drowned and was pronounced dead, according to Al-Jarida daily.

Following standard procedures, the scene was secured and subsequently handed over for further investigation and legal processing.

The Kuwait Fire Force has reiterated the importance of exercising caution during swimming and water-related activities, especially during early morning hours or in areas without lifeguard supervision.
