In a symbolic gesture celebrating long-standing military cooperation and mutual respect, the United States Embassy in Kuwait honored four officers from the Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense in recognition of their exemplary service and dedication to duty.
The recognition ceremony was attended by U.S. Ambassador to Kuwait, H.E. Karen Sasahara, and U.S. Army Colonel Lamont Jubek, who jointly presented commendations to the honorees — Colonel Mu’ayyad Mustafa Al-Sarraf, Colonel Abdulaziz Al-Rabah, Lieutenant Colonel Khaled Al-Yaqout, and retired First Warrant Officer Abdullah Saeed, reports Al-Rai daily.
The U.S. Embassy issued a statement highlighting the contributions of the honored officers, noting that their service has significantly strengthened the bonds of military cooperation between the United States and Kuwait.
Their professionalism, integrity, and commitment to their duties were praised as representative of the Kuwaiti Armed Forces’ core values and longstanding tradition of excellence.
In a particularly heartfelt moment during the ceremony, Brigadier General Saud Al-Hasawi presented a special commemorative gift to retired First Warrant Officer Abdullah Saeed.
The gift was awarded as a token of deep appreciation for his exceptional military career, which spanned over three decades of loyal service.
The embassy noted that this tribute not only honored his individual achievements but also celebrated the broader contributions of the Kuwaiti military personnel who have consistently played a vital role in regional security and defense cooperation with the United States.
The event underscored the enduring partnership between the United States and Kuwait, particularly in the defense and security sectors, where collaboration continues to evolve through joint training, capacity building, and strategic coordination.
