The Ministry of Transport announced an increase in its debt collection rate following a campaign conducted over the past three months. In a press statement, the Ministry revealed that it successfully collected over 35 million dinars from accumulated debts for the services provided to its customers.
The Ministry pointed out that the debt collection rate during this period exceeded last year’s total by nearly double the amount collected in previous years.
Furthermore, The Ministry noted that this initiative aligns with the directives of the esteemed Council of Ministers and follows the instructions of the Minister of State for Communications Affairs, Omar Al-Omar.
The plan was developed with a clear and simple mechanism, allowing valued customers to easily identify their dues and make payments without any complications or additional measures.
The Ministry emphasized that the mechanism established for collecting dues from customers was designed to serve the public interest and preserve public funds. This was achieved by regularly notifying esteemed customers of their outstanding financial obligations through all available means, in cooperation with other government agencies. The ultimate goal is to benefit both citizens and residents.
The Ministry praised the swift response of many valued customers, including citizens and residents, to the notifications sent by the ministry. Their quick actions in settling financial dues within a short period reflect their commitment to fulfilling their responsibilities and contributing to the state’s finances.
Importantly, the Ministry urged those who have not yet paid their outstanding dues to respond to the notifications sent through an easy government program. It encouraged timely payment to ensure the continued provision of telephone services and to avoid being included in the automated disconnection program, as well as the suspension of other government transactions.
The Ministry highlighted that financial dues can be paid through the ministry’s website, the government ‘Sahel’ application, or by visiting the area division and using the ‘KNET’ service for payment.
