Traffic dispute in Mubarak Al-Tanib escalates into assault and deliberate car damage

A traffic disagreement in Mubarak Al-Tanib spiraled into a violent confrontation between two citizens, involving a fistfight, verbal insults, and an intentional car collision, a security source told Al-Anba newspaper.

The source said that one of the citizens filed a complaint accusing the other — a physical education teacher — of assaulting him, verbally abusing him, and deliberately ramming into his vehicle.

The complainant stated that the dispute began over a traffic issue, during which the accused approached him, punched him, and insulted him sparking a physical altercation.

During questioning, the accused claimed the complainant had stopped his vehicle abruptly in the middle of the road, leading to the argument. He alleged that he acted in self-defense after being provoked.

The investigation, registered under “exchange of blows and collision,” included statements from both parties, an inspection of the scene, and testimony from a witness.

Findings confirmed that the dispute began with verbal insults and escalated into mutual assault, culminating in the accused deliberately ramming the complainant’s car.

The case has been referred to the competent authorities for further legal action.
