‘Traffic Council’ urges increase evening shift employees in government agencies

The Chairman and members of the Supreme Traffic Council have praised and expressed their approval of the Civil Service Bureau’s decision to initiate an experiment for civilian employees working during the evening period. They encouraged government agencies to consider increasing the number of employees working during these hours to enhance operational efficiency.
Additionally, the General Traffic Department has been tasked with assessing the outcomes of this new working arrangement after three months of its implementation to evaluate its effectiveness.
Today, Tuesday, January 21, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Traffic, Lieutenant General Sheikh Salem Al-Nawaf, chaired the 23rd meeting of the Supreme Council for Traffic.
The meeting was attended by council members representing various governmental bodies, including the Ministry of Interior, the Ministries of Education, Public Works, and Information, as well as the Public Authority for Roads and Land Transport and the Kuwait Municipality.
In the meeting it was discussed ways to improve public transport services (buses). The Council reviewed the latest statistics reflecting developments in traffic safety rates and discussed future plans aimed at reducing traffic accidents by improving road infrastructure.
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior emphasized the importance of joint cooperation between government agencies and civil society to achieve the national strategic objectives for traffic safety. He also highlighted the significance of the new traffic law and urged all concerned parties to intensify awareness campaigns in coordination with one another before its implementation.
