Three decrees issued to revoke Kuwaiti nationality of 2,182 people

Kuwait’s official gazette, Kuwait Alyawm, has published the names of 2,182 people whose Kuwaiti citizenship has been withdrawn under three separate decrees, along with those who had acquired it through dependency.
According to the published details, Decree No. 22 of 2026 ordered the withdrawal of citizenship from two individuals. Decree No. 23 covered 1,104 individuals, while Decree No. 24 included 1,076 individuals, Al-daily reports.
The decisions also extend to dependents who obtained the nationality through association with those affected, in line with the provisions governing the status of citizenship.
The latest measures form part of ongoing legal and administrative actions related to nationality regulation, as authorities continue to review and verify citizenship records.
