The Holy See congratulates Kuwait on the occasion of National & Liberation days
As the people of Kuwait are celebrating the 63rd anniversary of National Day and the 33rd anniversary of Liberation Day of their beautiful country, I extend on behalf of the Holy See sincere congratulations and best wishes to His Highness Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Amir of the State of Kuwait, His Highness Sheikh Dr. Mohammad Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, Prime Minister of Kuwait, and to the Kuwaiti government and people.
It is a joy to witness how this happy occasion is celebrated in different ways by both citizens and expatriates. Houses are decorated with colorful lights, flags of Kuwait rise on all buildings and cars, the historical places hold national events of live shows, fireworks, traditional culinary experiences, and the streets are alive with large crowds cheering and celebrating.
May the close and friendly ties between the Holy See and Kuwait, which we are proud of over the past 55 years, continue to strengthen in the future and may the Almighty God continue to bestow divine blessings of peace and joy on Kuwait and its people.
