TEF-Kuwait combines innovation, wellness at 4th Technical Seminar

The Tamilnadu Engineers Forum – Kuwait (TEF) successfully held its fourth Technical Seminar and Health Awareness Program on April 23 at the Safir International Hotel, Fintas, bringing together an evening of knowledge sharing, awareness, and networking.
The event began at 6:00 PM with the respectful rendition of the Tamil Thai Vaazhthu, setting a cultural and ceremonial tone. This was followed by a “Safety Moment” presentation by Eng. Rexton, highlighting the importance of safety at work and in daily life. Eng. Pandian then shared a meaningful Thirukkural, weaving tradition and timeless wisdom into the evening’s proceedings.
Eng. Subramanian delivered the welcome address, warmly greeting all participants and setting the stage for an engaging evening. Eng. Justine then introduced the keynote speaker, Dr. Maran, MS, FIAGES, Director of Minimal Access & GI Endosurgery and Head of the Centre for Bariatric & Metabolic Surgery.
Dr. Maran delivered a compelling session on “Healthy Habits for a Hectic World,” providing attendees with practical strategies to maintain physical and mental well-being amidst busy professional lives.
Transitioning into the technical segment, Eng. Suresh Anand introduced Mr. Eoin Calnan, Managing Director of SchuF Middle East, followed by Eng. Raj Narayanan, who introduced Mr. Shankar Ganesh, Product Manager at SchuF Speciality Valves India. Together, they presented the second topic of the evening: “Engineering Excellence: SchuF’s Customized Valve Solutions.” The presentation highlighted SchuF’s innovative approach to precision valve technologies tailored to industrial challenges.
A lively Q&A session, moderated by Eng. Maniyarasuand Eng. Senthilkumar, allowed for rich interaction between the speakers and attendees. This was followed by an engaging quiz session hosted by SchuF, which saw enthusiastic participation and spot prizes awarded to winners, adding a fun and competitive touch to the evening.
As a gesture of appreciation, TEF committee members, led by President Eng. Raja and General Secretary Eng. Balasubramanian, honored the speakers with shawls, garlands, and mementos, recognizing their valuable contributions.
Eng. Arun Golden delivered the Vote of Thanks, acknowledging the contributions of all speakers, sponsors, and attendees. The evening concluded with a delightful dinner and networking session, giving guests the opportunity to connect and collaborate.
